Seeing the Quality Care Pharmacy logo displayed on our website offers you the industry wide guarantee of retail service quality and professional practice. The Quality Care Pharmacy Program or QCPP as it’s known within the industry is a quality assurance program dedicated to raising the standards of service provided to the public. The program is based on business and professional standards that have been developed by both the Pharmacy Guild and the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia. Pharmacies that implement the standards successfully receive an accreditation certificate and display the Quality Care Pharmacy logo in their pharmacy, usually on the front shop window. Therefore, when you see the QCPP logo displayed in our pharmacy, you can rest assured that your health is in professional hands.
Webster Packs

Webster-pak… the safe solution. Many people face the daily routine of taking a number of pills and capsules in the right combinations, at the right time or fail to take their medications as prescribed, meaning they don’t get the life saving benefits or suffer unnecessary side effects.
Webster-pak is a safe and simple medication pack. It sets out all the tablets and capsules that need to be taken at each particular time of the day, for each day of the week.
The pharmacist takes the doctor’s prescriptions and dispenses the medication into a blister pack. This pack is securely sealed so the medication is protected and there is no chance of spilling or mixing things up.
The pack lists all the contents plus other medications taken, providing vital information for hospital or ambulance staff in the case of emergency.
When it is time to take the medication, the person or carer simply pushes out the contents of the blister through the foil backing for the correct time on the correct day. Webster-pak provides a visual cue, so you always know where you are up to. It is as easy as that!

National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS)
While there is currently no cure for diabetes, you can live an enjoyable life by learning about the disease and effectively managing it.
The National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) is an initiative of the Australia Government, administered by Diabetes Australia. As a member of the National Diabetes Services Scheme we are able to provide diabetes-related products at subsidised prices and support to people with diabetes.
Registration is open to Australians with diabetes, is free and only needs to be done once.
Bone Density Testing
Osteoporosis is where the bones become thin and fragile and are therefore susceptible to easy fracture. Fortunately it is largely preventable and regardless of age, you can take steps to protect your bones and minimise bone loss. Bone density testing is conducted by Australian Bone Density Testing Centre and is available at our pharmacy by appointment on a specified date.
Bowelscan
We support Rotary's effort to make aware of the dangers of bowel cancer and are participating in their annual bowel cancer screening. 90% of bowel cancers can be cured if dectected early. By the age of 75, 1 in 20 men and 1 in 24 women will develop bowel cancer.
We urge all persons over 40 to participate in the Rotary Bowelscan program.
Kits are easy to use and come with full instructions. They can be purchased and then returned to our pharmacy on dates specified by Rotary Bowelscan.
All moneys go to Rotary.
Hearing Test
The ear has over 25,000 tiny hair cells to help you hear the nuamces of sound. The major causes of hearing loss are aging, noise exposure, disease and injury. We conduct hearing checks annually by appointment at our pharmacy on a specified date.
Blood Pressure
High blood pressure can cause a heart attack, stroke, heart failure or kidney disease. High blood pressure usually does not have any warning symptons.
We recommend regular blood pressure checks.
You are welcome to come in for a FREE blood pressure check or we have digital blood pressure machines you can purchase to check your blood pressure in the convienience of your own home and at your leisure.

Pharmaceutical Medicines
Prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and complementary medicines are available.
Prescription Medicines
For prescription medicines, your doctor will explain to you how you are to take it and any possible side effects. If you are unsure, you are always welcome to ask us for advice.
All precription medicines have a Consumer Medicine Information (CMI). This information leaflet details how to use it, side effects and precautions. It is available free so please request for it when collecting your medications, although in most cases, it can also be found tucked inside the medicine packaging.
Generic Medicines
Medicines can be expensive. If your doctor prescribes an expensive brand of medicine, in some cases we may be able to supply you a less expensive Australian generic brand. All brands of the same medicine have the same active ingredient. The only difference between one brand and another is the name, packaging, size and shape. They all meet the same high standards.
Webster Packs
It is important that if you have a serious illness that you manage your medications and keep record of what is being taken. Otherwise, you might forget to take your medicines or take them twice. We suggest using our webster pack or a dosette box as an easy way of organising your medicines. A webster pack is packed on a weekly basis* and sealed. It indicates which day and when to take your medicines. A dosette box is a box where you can organise your own medicines in a daily or weekly box.
